Randy Smith has over 53 years of investment and securities analysis experience. He founded Capital Counsel in 1999 after 24 years with Train Smith Counsel. Before co-founding Train Smith Counsel, Randy established National Journal, an authoritative publication on the governmental policy-making process. He was a Security Analyst with Shearson Hammill and later a Principal at WK Whiteford & Co. Randy began his career in 1961 as a Specialist on the American Stock Exchange, after receiving a BA degree from Williams College.
